Today, the ’2nd Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards’ were held at Seoul Olympic Park.

The Gaon chart is a national music chart in Korea. The ‘Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards’ winners are calculated by looking at the end of the year chart sales from the previous year.

This award ceremony not only recognizes artists but also the people from behind the scenes such a choreographers, stylists, producers and more.

The MC’s for this year’s show was Joo Young Hoon and Brown Eyed Girls Gain.

[INFO] 130213 TVXQ’s Japanese single “Catch Me -If You Wanna-” certified gold in Japan

TVXQ‘s latest Japanese single “Catch Me -If You Wanna-” has officially been certified gold in Japan according to the Recording Industry Association of Japan(RIAJ).

The RIAJ unveiled the list of certified gold productions for the month of January on the 10th, and “Catch Me -If You Wanna-”, which was released on January 16th, was certified gold for selling over 100,000 copies. The Japanese single album sold 84,666 copies on the first day of its release and set a new record in Japan by becoming the first foreign artist to top the Oricon Weekly Single Chart twelve times.

The duo also revealed that they will be releasing their new Japanese album, ‘TIME‘ in March and will embark on a five-dome tour in Japan starting at the Saitama Super Arena on April 27th.

In other news, Yunho is currently starring in the SBS drama ‘Queen of Ambition‘, while Changmin is appearing on the new KBS 2TV variety show, ‘Moonlight Prince‘.

SM Entertainment artists will be releasing 2013 calendar.

First Look magazine commented, “TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation and other SM artists will be featured in a 2013 calendar and diary.”

Each group will have their own concept and will be able to show a different side to them.

The calendar will have more than 25 pictures and will be printed as a tabletop calendar. A 13 picture wall calendar will also be printed as well. TVXQ, Girls’ Generation, SHINee and EXO will also be releasing a diary.

[NEWS] 121121 TVXQ To Hold Japan 5 Dome Tour Next Year, ‘First For Korean Artist’

Group TVXQ will be holding a 5 dome tour next year in Japan.

SM Entertainment revealed today that TVXQ will be performing at 5 domes in Japan including Saitama, Osaka, Hukuoka and more. The dome tour will begin on April 27, 2013 in Saitama.

This is also the first time a Korean artist has done a 5 dome tour. They are the 4th artist in the world to be doing this tour.

TVXQ stated, “We are so happy that we are able to do this tour. We will work hard to bring the best performance and music to our fans.”

They also plan to release a new single in Japan on January 16, 2013 that includes a Japanese version of “Catch Me” and a new song called, “I Know.”

TVXQ will be releasing a repackage album, Humanoids.

The “2012 K-Pop Festival” will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam on November 29.

Many top stars will be attending such as Girls’ Generation, SISTAR, INFINITE, TEEN TOP, Son Dam Bi, B.A.P, miss A, T-ARA, KARA, TVXQ, HyunA, BEAST, CHAOS, FIESTAR, FTISLAND and more.

The concert will have both VIP class and Royal Class standing tickets as well as VIP Class, Royal Class, Superior Class, A Grade and B Grade seating tickets.

This concert will be held at the My Dinh National Stadium in Vietnam.
